Navifia tab → Layouts group — insert branded template slides. Configure which slides appear (and which are pinned) under Tools → Configure → Settings… → Layouts.

When to use it: start every pack from house layouts (cover, section, columns, glossary) instead of blank slides.

1. Where it lives

  • Up to six pinned slides appear as their own ribbon buttons.
  • Insert slide dropdown lists every slide you configured from the template.

Out of the box, the installer factory setup (factory-setup.navifia.json) loads every slide from the shipped ContentLayouts.pptx and pins three content layouts as own ribbon buttons: Content – full, Content - wide, and Content - half. The Insert slide menu also includes Cover / Cover picture variants, Dividers, Agenda, multi-block content pages, Shape – six blocks, and Final slide.

2. Configure which slides appear

  1. Open Configure (Tools group) → Settings….
  2. On the Layouts tab, review the template slides (read-only preview of ContentLayouts.pptx).
  3. Tick which slides appear on the ribbon, set ribbon names, and pin the ones you use most (up to six own-buttons).
  4. Use Open folder at the top of the tab if you need to replace ContentLayouts.pptx with your firm’s branded deck in the templates folder.
  5. Save. The ribbon updates immediately — no restart needed.

Templates folder is set once via Getting started → Browse… (shared with Elements). Details: PowerPoint · Configure.

3. Insert a layout

  1. Click a pinned button, or open Insert slide and pick a named slide.
  2. Navifia copies that slide from the template into the active deck.

4. Set theme and slide master

New layouts normally match the active slide’s design. To force the deck onto the template’s master/theme:

  1. Configure → Set theme and slide master.
  2. Runs immediately (not tied to Settings Save) — imports ContentLayouts.pptx’s design and applies it to every slide in the current deck (best-effort; unusual layouts that refuse reassignment are skipped with a count warning).
  3. Later inserts keep matching that pinned design.

Troubleshooting

  • Layouts look “wrong” (fonts/colours) — run Set theme and slide master, or activate a slide that already has the house design before inserting.
  • Pinned buttons missing — open Settings… → Layouts and Save again; confirm the template file is in the templates folder (Open folder).
